New Harry Potter Trailer

The Harry Potter films just seem to get better and better. I'm really looking forward to this new film. I haven't read any of the books, so I don't know what will happen, but I have a strong inkling it's going to be a dark one! Here is the trailer, enjoy!

Run's House

Whose HOUSE??? Run's HOUSE!!!!

I absolutely LOVE this show and I'm thrilled that the family (Rev, Justine, Vanessa, Angela, JoJo, Diggy, Russy and Miley) have come back with another season. Rev is my FAVE, every week he sits in his hot tub and sends out a text to all his friends and family with his pearls of wisdom:

Good morning. Asking is the proof that you’ve conquered pride. In most cases, asking causes us to become humble. You didn’t get into the program you’re interested in??? Reapply!!!! (Remember!!!) Ask Ask Ask!!!!! Ask God, ask people, ask whoever!! Asking keeps you humble. And that’s what
God wants… Ask!!!!!!! :)
God is Love
Rev Run

The Simmons family is our modern day version of the Cosby family and I can't get enough of them. I cried my eyes out during the last season finale when they introduced baby Miley to the crew. Especially when Angela and Vanessa missed their flight to be there. Tear!!! It was so precious!

You know, there are few quality shows out there; shows that promote family and God and achieving your goals. That's why I have to give props to MTV for airing the show. Now if they could only air more like it and maybe some more music videos! That would be cool!

Here's a little taste of Run's House for you! You can actually watch previous episodes and behind the scenes footage on MTV.com:

Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner

Jennifer Weiner is one of my all time favorite authors. Her first novel, Good In Bed literally spoke to me. The main character, Cannie Shapiro, was my hero and I idolized her. So when I saw that she had come out with a book almost ten years later revisting the characters from her first book, I was thrilled!!! Now that I have finished it, I have to say that Jennifer Weiner is truly a master of her art (chick lit). Throughout the book, you find yourself taking the emotional roller coaster that IS this little family's life. You will laugh, stress and cry for them. My main criteria for a good fictional novel comes down to these two questions:

* Did I for a brief moment, forget about my life and immerse myself in the portrait that the writer was offering?

and second . . .

* While reading this book, was I able to relate to any of the characters and what lessons did they go through that could, in some way, be applied to my own life?

It may seem silly, but if I can't walk away with something or feel like I was able to escape, than I have wasted my time. Bottom line, Jennifer Weiner is AMAZING!! If you have never read any of her novels I suggest that you start with Good in Bed or In Her Shoes, from there it's up to you!

ROCK BAND!!!

I am addicted to Rock Band. I had only played a couple of times before with my brothers, but after playing with Claudio and Olivia last Saturday night I can't stop thinking of when I can play again!!! We had so much fun! Our band name is called the MUD PITTZ!!!! Cool name, huh! LOL! Claudio rocked the drums and Olivia dominated the guitar, while I flexed my vocal skills on the mic, my voice was so raw the next day! It was great! I felt like Phoebe from Friends, when she got the cold and had the "sexy flem"! So funny! Next time we play I'm going to get more pictures for sure! Check out the Rock Band Blog, it has actual interviews with the bands that are featured on the game. It's pretty cool! http://www.rockband.com/life

The Pussycat Dolls

I have been a fan of the Pussycat Dolls since they came out with Don't Cha! HOLLA! I think that part of the reason is because I desperately want to be the next pussycat doll! I wanna be on tv and have groupies! LOL! RIGHT!? Anyways, the new single and video is out, When I Grow Up.

Happy 4th of July!!!

What a great 4th! Every year that I am in Provo for the 4th, I am constantly running all around trying to experience everything this town offers. From the balloon launch to the sleep out on University Ave for the parade to the arts festival to the barbeques! This year, I have done NOTHING! I stayed in bed most of the day, I only got out to use the restroom, grab a bite and find my phone. At 5:00 pm though, I did get up, shower and get ready for a BBQ at Fia and Scott's home. It was so much fun to be with some of the family. Not all of us were there, but for those that were, it was a good time!

Wall E / Wanted and BABY!!

So much to share! First off, I have a brand new little niece. Her name is Arianna and she is BEAUTIFUL!!! Lua is going to be an amazing mommy! I'm so proud of my little sis and hope to be just like her one day.

Second, I started my new job at the Hampton Inn! It was a lot of fun, super easy and I must say that it was nice to be told what to do, rather than be the manager telling others what to do. All I do is set up the breakfast buffet once or twice a month, I never thought I would ever get back into food. But for these travel benefits, I am in!
I also saw some movies this last weekend! I took little Daniel to see Wall E.

I don't care for animation, but I've had fun taking Daniel to the movies! I get him the kids popcorn bucket and we have such a good time.

We've seen Horton Hears a Who (CUTE), Kung FU Panda (HILARIOUS, LOVED IT) and Wall E (Not so great). Daniel fell asleep in Wall E and when I woke him up, he asked to go home. That right there, tells you that the movie was LAME! At least it was to a 28 year old and a 4 year old!
Now, the other movie I saw this weekend was Wanted! FABULOUS, loved it, couldn't get enough!

I went with Makenzie and Vita Sunday night and I was truly impressed with the story concept, cinematography and the acting. James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie were great! Morgan Freeman was in the film as well as Common. Great cast, great film. Check it out!
Anyways, that was my weekend! Good times!
