Chris Brown's sophmore album is fabulous and I'm in love with it! The name of the album is Exclusive and my favorite song on the album is With You . I can't believe I'm writing this, but I seriously imagine this song being sung to me by the man of my dreams! LOL!!! Good ol' Chris, he sure knows how to put out a good song; here is the music video for all of you! Enjoy!!!

Sweeney Todd

Wednesday night, Allison and I went to the District Theatre and saw Sweeney Todd. I remember hearing about it being a smashing hit on Broadway, but the story was never appealing enough for me to spend the money on a Broadway ticket.
I'm glad I saw it though, I was entertained and to sum up the movie in one word I would say it was IMPRESSIVE. Tim Burton brings out his top players to sing their way through the London based play and they really do sing. Johnny Depp belted each song out with an impressive voice, making you question whether or not it was really his. Along with Burton's pregnant wife, Helena Bonham Carter who holds the twist of the story in her dirty hands. The love story between the young Johanna (Jayne Wisener) and Mr. Todd's one true friend Anthony Hope (Jamie Campbell Bower) brings some of the most beautiful music and voices of the film. The movie was truly entertaining and truly deserves all the recognition that it is receiving!

Maroon 5

For Christmas I got some iTunes gift cards and I downloaded the B sides to the Maroon 5 album! I'm loving it and the video for "Won't Go Home Without You".

"Won't Go Home Without You" Video

Add to My Profile

I love Maroon 5, but I DO NOT love the fact that they didn't come in concert to UTAH. JERKS!!!! Now on the B sides there is a song, "I Miss You, I Love You" that I have on repeat. It's everything you would expect from the boys of Maroon 5 from Adam Levine's sexy voice to the catchy beat and the yummy fantasy you get when you listen to it. LOL!!! Enjoy!

National Treasurer 2

One of the Asisi family holiday traditions is a late night movie right before Chrismas and for this years movie, we went and saw National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets . Now, like most sequels out there it wasn't as good as the first. That doesn't mean I didn't like it, I enjoyed the fact that I got to sit in a theatre with a large Diet Coke and revel in the big screen movie effects I have come to love AND expect from Jerry Bruckheimer. I enjoyed the sarcastic dialoge and the suggestion that there really may be a "book of presidential secrets". You think? Nah, I'm sure it would've been published by now! Anyways, if you are looking for a good mystery/shoot 'em up/adventure movie then go see this one!

Stardust

I don't know why I watched this! I do enjoy a good fairytale/adventure every now and again. I like Harry Potter and the Chronicles of Narnia, but Stardust was definitely a bust! I guess I was expecting more and was left wanting! The funny thing is that I was on you tube and found this clip and all I could think when I watched it was, "WHY DIDN'T I SEE THIS BEFORE I RENTED THE STUPID DVD! I NEVER WOULD HAVE GOTTEN IT!" What dillusional person put this stupid clip together and worst, how could they have thought it was good? Ugh, people! REALLY!!!

Golden

Just a little something for all my friends and family! Thank you for everything!!!

Reign Over Me

If you are looking for a good movie to watch over the holiday weekend. I highly recommend Reign Over Me. From what I hear it didn't get the best reviews, but I'm here to tell you that it was truly AMAZING.
The core of the movie is about two guys who are friends and how that relationship has helped them deal with some very serious situations in their lives. Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler are the stars of the film and true to form be prepared to laugh. It is a drama and you will most likely tear up, or if you are like me bawl your eyes out. That's life though; A drama where laughter is what gets you through and love holds you together. I hope you enjoy it and if you like the movie, be sure to check out the soundtrack! It's worth a listen!

i am LEGEND

Allison and I went to see i am LEGEND last night at the District. First off, Will Smith is amazing. He carried the movie on his own and was able to portray his emotions in such a way that you couldn't help but feel what he was feeling. It's no big surprise that Entertainment Weekly named him the 6th smartest person in Hollywood.
Just a few things about the movie you should know.
* Don't read up too much on it, go and let yourself be surprised. I personally felt that half the magic came from being on the edge of my seat throughout the whole movie!
* It should've been longer. There will be things about this movie that they never really explain, which can be frustrating. But the not knowing is what opens up the discussion afterwards.
* See it in the theatre. You will be so sorry if you don't, even if you do have a pimped out home theatre system!

Rating System

Ok, I am implementing my rating system! It's about time, right. I need to do this for a living! Who will pay me for this? LOL!

The rating system is as follows:

- Basically means that it sucked and it's NOT worth your time, money or brain cells!

1 - You won't be missing out on much if you don't see it, listen to it or read it right a way. It's something to check out if you are bored out of your mind and need something to do.

2 - Entertaining and Enjoyable! If it's in reference to a movie you should go see it, you will most likely enjoy it! If in reference to music, you'll be glad you got it.

3 - You don't want to MISS OUT on the Greatness!

CHRISTMAS WORK PARTY!!

You've got to LOVE them! There is nothing more joyous then ringing in the holiday season with those you work with. I happen to be quite lucky and work with SOME pretty awesome people. Anyways this blog is about the FOOD. We went to the Brick Oven in Provo, UT.

They have some pretty amazing italian food and an authentic brick oven in the middle of the restaurant. If you are ever in the area you should check it out! I highly recommend the Chicken Alfredo Calzone or the Salad and Pasta Bar! There is tons of pasta and sauces to choose from!
As for the work party it really was quite fun and like I said, if I had to go, I'm glad it was somewhere with good food!

Soundtracks

One thing I LOVE about movies is the soundtracks that come along with them. I was watching Raising Helen with Kate Hudson and there was a song playing during one of the dramatic clip sequences that I LOVED. It's called Thinking Over by Dana Glover and honestly her whole album TESTIMONY is great. I couldn't place it in a genre, it's something of it's very own.

Another song I came across was Say by John Mayer for the film Bucket List. This probably sounds so ridiculous, but I really believe that there are times when a song just fits into your life and you can't help but be touched. CHEESY, I know. ENJOY!

New York

I love this time of year with the lights, music and magic that seems to fill the air. The malls start to fill up with shoppers, Center Street is covered in Christmas lights, every office is playing holiday songs and it all makes me smile. Christmas in New York though was the best, talk about magic in the air with the tree at Rockefeller Plaza, the ice skaters in Central Park and window displays at Macy's and Bloomingdales. I miss it so much, so sit back and enjoy this tribute video I found. My favorite is the asian lady trying to ice skate with the red helmet! LOL!

Bitten

Melanie and I got to go shopping today at Steve and Barry's. All I got was a necklace, mainly because this is my second time at the store and I had bought everything that I wanted the last time I was there. But I love what this store stands for and want to support them. They are all about offering afordable fashion in all sizes. Nothing in the store is over $20 and it's high quality merchandise. I love Sarah Jessica Parker's new clothing line, BITTEN. You can also find clothes created by Amanda Bynes, Venus Williams and some other famous athletes. You can find it right off of Van Winkle Parkway just off of I-215.
