Do you ever get a song stuck in your head and no matter what you do, you can't quite get it out? Answer: Head Tunes! I've been singing bits of Jennifer Hudson's song "Spotlight" all day long!
" . . . If I'm just love's prisoner, than I'm busting out . . ."
"Oh I don't like living under your spotlight, maybe if you treat me right, you don't have to worry."
But I love this song and so I am in no hurry to be singing a new tune right now. Here's the video for you! Enjoy!

Wednesday Night = LOST Night
I had so much fun at the Casa de Aguiars!!! We had some Cafe Rio,

yummy deserts, Diet Coke and HELLO, we had us some SAWYER!! LOL! What a great episode, totally worth the nine month wait! It was so intense, I caught myself holding my breath at one point. I had to keep reminding myself to BREATH!!!

Here's a bit of Sawyer with NO SHIRT!!
Thank you so much Olivia and Claudio, for opening up your home to us! It was a GREAT night! (I didn't post the picture of the two of you eating, but next time we get together whatever I snap is fair game.) LOL!

Congratulations President Barack Obama!!
This morning while Daniel and I were getting ready for the day, we got to watch the amazing crowd, standing in the freezing cold, wave their flags in celebration of our new President. Then on the way to work, we listened to these people talk about what this day meant to them. What an amazing day for this country! The system works, votes count and today we got to celebrate. When the true meaning of it all hit me, I started to cry, Daniel got worried and asked why I was sad. "Mommy's not sad Love, she's happy. These are happy tears!" To which Daniel responded, "What you're so funny!" All I could do was nod in agreement! LOL! No truthfully, I'm thrilled to see what the next eight years will hold for the citizens of this great nation! Welcome to office President Obama, Daniel and I are your biggest supporters!

Auto Show
We had a great morning with Uncle Sione!! It started with breakfast at Gandolfo's and then a trip up to the South Towne Expo Center for this years Auto Show. I have never been before and must say I was expecting something more. But Daniel LOVED it and his excitement was contagious! My favorite cars were: the new Toyota Corolla (super cute) and a white and pink Ford Mustang (super duper cute)! Daniel loved the police cars that were on display, this army vehicle:

And this race car:

Like I said, his enthusiasm was contagious!!!

SELF
I was reading the SELF magazine during my lunch break and couldn't help following the excercise, "Love your life in 9 minutes." It said to create inspirations, not ultimatums. The excercise was to create a list to follow this sentence, "I'm proud of . . ." name your accomplishments for 2008. The next list will follow, "I won't criticize . . ." this is a way to counteract your self critic and keep you on course towards accomplishing your goals. The last list follows, "I can't wait to . . ." this is your pledge for 2009. Anyways here are my lists and I'm tagging Fia, Lua, Makenzie, Adrian, Megs, CaraDee and Laura to do the same thing! YAY!!
I’m proud of . . .
• Becoming a mother to Daniel. My life has changed dramatically and though I have more worries and responsibilities, he makes everything sweeter.
• My accomplishments at work. I can’t believe I get to do the job I do and that I’ve been able to work my way up the ladder in such a short amount of time.
• My testimony in the Lord. Though I struggle, I’m proud to report that my faith in Him has not altered. I know He lives and that He loves us.
• Sione and Lorien who tied the knot in 2008. It was quite the adventure and I’m thankful to be a part of it. Welcome to the family Lorien!
• Lua and Justin who had my first niece, Arianna. She is a doll and has the cutest laugh, EVER!!! I love you guys!!
• Tevita and Makenzie who had my second niece, Vea Marie. What a beautiful baby and what amazingly devoted parents.
• My family for recognizing the cracks in the wall and resolving to fix them. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for their love and sacrifice. Though 2008 brought some family stress and drama, there were a LOT of GREAT, BEAUTIFUL and HILARIOUS moments as well. I can’t help but be proud of the road we’ve traveled and the lessons we’ve learned.
• My trials and tribulations. They have taught me to be strong, understanding and empathetic. I refuse to be sorry for the choices I’ve made. Everything in my life has happened for a reason and the lessons I’ve learned will follow me throughout my life.
I won’t criticize my . . .
• My parenting skills. There is no way I can know how to handle every situation.
• My weight. It’s not permanent.
• My family. They are my rock and I must always look for the good.
• My intentions. As long as they are for good and not evil!
• Vegging habits. If I’m getting the rest I need, then why make myself feel bad.
I can’t wait to . . .
• Get out of debt!!! What an unnecessary burden!!
• Build a home for Daniel and me. It will take some strength and sacrifice, but will be worth it.
• Be a better mom. To devote more one on one time with the little guy, no less than 12 hugs a day!
• Be a better daughter. To see my parents needs before they do and help in anyway I can.
• Be a better sister. I’m resolved to keep the promises I’ve made to each of you!
• Be a better friend. Whether by; email, phone or girls nights.
• Feel beautiful everyday. To take a moment for myself before stepping out the door each morning.
• Be the best supervisor. I have the best staff and they deserve the best from me!

Fillin' you in!
What a great, busy and exhausting holiday season! It started with Thanksgiving and hasn't really slowed down, till today anyways.

Daniel had such a great Christams. Here he is meeting Santa for the first time at his preschool Christmas program. He thought Santa was sooo cool, but was pretty skeptical. He asked Santa where his reindeer were. Santa told him they were on the roof and that you can't see them during the day. Daniel gave him a look that said, "Yeah right!"

Christmas Eve he got to open his first pair of Christmas pajamas, this was the most decent picture I could get from him, he was so excited for Santa to come that he wouldn't sit still. Christmas morning he woke me up at 7:00 am and asked me, "So should we see if Santa came." We walked upstairs and he didn't believe till he saw the plate of cookie crumbs. He jumped in the air and kept screaming, "He's real, I didn't believe. Now I believe." LOL! What a character.
I had to work New Years Eve, so I didn't do much other than watch Season 4 of LOST at Fia and Scott's house. That was fun! Gotta love LOST, I can't wait for Season 5 to start.
Yesterday was Mom's birthday and she had such a great day. Fia, Lua and I woke her up for an early breakfast at Mimi's and then off to a matinee showing of Twilight.

This is the first picture I've posted with my new haircut. It's so short, I love it!

Can I just say though, while I'm speaking of Twilight. I'm in love with Edward. LOL! Really I can't tell you how much I loved that movie. I started the book and am half way through. I never thought I would be a Twilight fan, but I am! Hardcore! If you haven't seen it. YOU NEED TO!
Anyways, that's what we've been up to. Life has been a true roller coaster the last couple of months, I'm hoping things will slow down a bit. I hope you all had a lovely holiday season.
