TENTS

Some of the funnest times I had as a child were on nights that us kids would build tents and forts in our living room with bed sheets and blankets. So last night I decided that would be a fun thing for Daniel and I to do. We made pizza for dinner, rented Speed Racer and built our tents. Tre came to visit us and he LOVED the tents! We had a great night!

Single

I LOVE music and the last couple of weeks there have been some great releases! I just got the new Ne-Yo CD (Year of the Gentleman) and I love it! Some of my favorite songs are Single, Mad, So You Can Cry and Miss Independent. The song "Single" was actually redone by some of my fave boys NKOTB, the video is great and it's a good rendition of Ne-Yo's song!

The Pussycat Doll CD is out and there are two versions out there, be sure you grab the one with Doll Introductions (Deluxe)! Kimberly Wyatt sings a great remake of Don't Wanna Fall In Love, I loved that song back in the day! LOL!
Also if you caught the MTV Music Awards then you caught Kanye West's amazing performance of Love Lockdown! Kanye is on FIRE and this song is HOT! Take this link to see the performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBDl2MSQXF0
What are you guys listening to right now?

MEMORIES!

Memories...I hope you will play along. Here are the directions:
1. Add a comment on my blog and leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot just do anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments!

Iron Chef

Please tell me that I am not the only one that is addicted to the Food Network! Actually I am curious to know who watches the Iron Chef! Oh man, this show is AMAZING!!! They have a chef that comes into "kitchen stadium" to battle against one of the Iron Chefs. There is a secret ingredient and they have ONE HOUR to create as many dishes as they can, using this ingredient. Tonight it was snails, yak! But I have seen all sorts of challenges (eggs, garlic, shrimp, sausage, tomatos) and some crazy dishes! I wonder what it would take to be a judge on that show! HMMMM!!!

P!NK

There seems to be nothing too taboo for Pink to sing about and I LOVE IT! Her last CD has to be one of my favorites, but this new single is FABULOUS! I actually didn't like it the first time I heard it. It made me a little sad for Carey Hart, whom she sings about in this single called, "So What!" But then I saw the video I fell utterly in love with the song. Last night she performed on the VMA's and it was GREAT! Anyways, here is the video being premiered on FN MTV, ENJOY!!!

FYI: If you type in www.pink.com it takes you to a porn site. YIKES!!!!!

Birthday Playlist

Birthday Playlist – Here are just a few songs from my life’s playlist.

Just Dance (Lady Gaga) – I love to dance and when I hear this song, I can’t help but DANCE!!!
I Need You (Alicia Keys) – I have been in love with this CD all year, but this has to be my favorite song on the CD. The drums and melody of this song are just as addicting as needing and loving someone special.
Just Fine (Mary J. Blige) – “feel free right now; go do what you want to do . . . no time for moping around!” This song is the shit!
Summertime (The Sundays) – Whenever I hear this song, I think back to the good ol’ times at Dixie College!
Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen) – This song is brilliant and every time it comes on, I have to crank it up and sing at the top of my lungs; “carry on, carry on!” Plus I am a total Wayne’s World fan!
Come On Eileen (Dexy’s Midnight Runners) – LOVE THIS SONG! You can catch me playing air violin whenever this song comes on, no matter where I am!
Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours (Stevie Wonder) – OOOO baby, nothing like a little soul to bring that inner groove out! Plus, I heart Stevie!!
Fallen (Mya) – This song is just pure sexiness!
Won’t Stop (One Republic) – The play count on my iTunes, for this song, just hit 100. It has definitely earned its place on the list.
Cupid (Jack Johnson) – Probably my favorite artist!!! I got to see him in concert this year and I loved it!
How Deep Is Your Love (The Bird & The Bee) – I don’t normally like remakes, but I loved this one! Plus it’s from the Sex and the City Soundtrack and I LOVED that movie, show, soundtrack, etc.
Nothing Lasts Forever (Maroon 5) – I fell in love with the hook of this song, when I first heard it on a Kanye West song. So when Maroon 5 came out with their new CD and I heard this song, I fell in love! Plus Adam Levine is just HOT!!
Silver Lining (Rilo Kiley) – Olivia introduced this band to me and I am addicted to this song.
Ice Cream (Sarah McLachlan) – My roommates at Dixie introduced me to Sarah and it was the first CD that ever spoke to me. I am pretty sure I wore the CD completely out.
Oh Boy (Duffy) – I have been impressed with the ladies of G.B.; Adele, Amy Winehouse and Duffy. Duffy though has to be my favorite and this song is just beautiful.
Happy (Natasha Bedingfield) – Life gets so crazy sometimes and we forget to be happy! But there are “so many beautiful reasons to be happy!” So as I head into this new year, I am going to remember just how fabulous my sundae is! I love you all, thanks for celebrating with me!

29 Years Old!

It's my birthday, September 4th. YAY! It's my last year in my 20's and I am NOT freaking out about it. I am happy to have one more year and as Makenzie said in my birthday card, IT'S MY YEAR! Looking back, I've had some amazing years. 24 was a HUGE year for me! It's the year that I celebrated in New York with my buddies. We went to Little Italy for dinner and saw Aida on Broadway. That was the year I met my first true love, the year I left Jersey to move back home and the year my heart broke for the first time. 21 was another GREAT year! I had a Vegas themed, surprise party! That was the year I served an LDS mission to Florianopolis, Brazil. Lots of good times and GREAT memories! Here's to tons more to come!!!

Top 10 moments from my Vegas trip!!!

#10 - The demon voice!! I haven't seen The House Bunny yet, but I laugh my ars off everytime I watch the trailer and Anna Faris talks in her demon voice. So all weekend, Allison and I were on the demon voice kick! Poor Treden, got a little freaked when I called for him with my demon voice. HILARIOUS!!!

#9 - The unlucky pursuit of my jackpot!! It's not a matter of IF!!! It's a matter of WHEN!!!

#8 - The missing egg! We went to the Sahara breakfast buffet Sunday morning and John grabbed an egg benedict. By the time he got to the table, his egg had fallen off the plate and all he was left with was the benedict. LOL! The best part was that this guy had seen John drop the egg and then saw John's reaction when he noticed it was missing. The guy was cracking up!!!

#7 - Justin was staring at Allison! LOL! We were in the car, trying to get onto the strip when Allison, squealed with delight!! "Justin was staring at me! Justin is coming to Vegas on October 17th!" LOL, there was a cab with a hood advertisment, promoting Justin Timberlake's concert.

#6 - Fat guy in a little shirt! LOL!! We were at Naki's game when Allison noticed that there was a guy sitting behind us with his belly hanging out of his shirt. We made Scott pretend to take a picture of us, but instead take a picture of the belly!

#5 - The Food!! We had some good eats on our trip! We ate at In-N-Out Burgers, Margaritaville, Jack in the Box, Hard Rock Cafe and the Sahara Buffet! So yummy!

#4 - Crazy Lady! Oh my gosh, when we got to Margaritville, a band had just started to perform. They were pretty good, although the lead singer had these huge muscles and like the tiniest guitar. LOL! But there was this Crazy Lady who was up there dancing like, well, like a crazy woman! She was old and in this itty bitty dress and could NOT dance for the life of her! Ask me about it and I promise to imitate it for you!

#3 - Saturday @ the pool. We stayed at The Alexis Park Hotel and it was pretty nice. The best part was the pool, we were literally at the pool from 9:30 in the morning to 2:00 in the afternoon. It was a little overcast that day, so we took naps by the pool, played in the water and got the rest we all desperately needed. Cute little Daniel had so much fun at the pool!

#2 - Naki! Friday night, we went to visit Naki at his hotel. We spent a couple of hours, just talking and laughing. He is such a doll and he is so handsome!!! Saturday USU played UNLV, we didn't win, but no worries! It was a great game and it was SO awesome to see Naki go out on to the field. He was out there for 2 and a half plays! Way to go buddy! I love you so much!

#1 - It was a VACATION! Granted it was not nearly long enough and I still had a hard time getting up for work this morning. But I needed this, so bad! Just to get out of town, lounge by the pool, hang with my bff and my family! It was great. Now, the goal is to plan an uber lazy vacation, one that requires very little thinking! Allison suggested a cruise and I am 100% down! It was a good weekend!

Tin Man

Well, I'm back from a great weekend in Vegas and doing my best to recooperate before I have to go back to work tomorrow. I will be sure to post my pics from our trip and tell you all about the fun things we did, logo logo (soon). But in a pursuit of true laziness today I rented some movies and one of them was TIN MAN. Now it's a total sci-fi movie. Which I normally wouldn't like, but I loved this movie. Anyways, it's an adaptation of the Wizard of Oz. The main character DG (Dorothy Gale) is played by Zooey Deschanel and is joined by an amazing cast; Richard Dreyfuss, Alan Cumming and Neal McDonough.
