My Tribute to LOST!

Before I get into my thoughts about the finale of LOST, I wanted to post the pictures from our LOST night with Olivia & Claudio.  These two are so adorable with the palm tree decorations, black & white balloons, names carved on the wall and Dharma food!

We missed the big celebration with the Aguiar's Sunday night, so they had us over Monday for the encore.  It was the perfect ending to LOST.  Yikes, I was 24 when the show began (don't do the math), I remember that Alias had ended and there were a million previews for this new show by JJ Abrams.  Ha ha, I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

LOST became a link to others; friends (new & old), family and even strangers.  It was GREAT entertainment; suspense, love, comedy, joy and that title sequence sound could send a good chill up my spine.  It became weekly parties first with roommates & friends, then with the Aguiar's.  It was yearly season marathons with my family as the new DVD's came out.  It was a trip to Hawaii.

I always watched it a second time with my Mom, I would explain everything that was going on and repeat whatever she couldn't hear.  :)  So it's somewhat serendipidous that the show ends a week before she leaves for California.

A lot of people lost interest with the show as the questions compounded each week and that awful writers strike!  Boo!  I couldn't give up on the show though, I refused to believe that all of these questions wouldn't be answered.

The end has come and well, not all of my questions were answered.  But it's okay!  LOST ended beautifully.  Without going into detail, I'll simply say that though it took me watching the finale three times (once by myself, once with the Aguiar's and once with my Mom), I couldn't be happier with the outcome of LOST.  My heart is happy, I feel like I can close this chapter.  HAHA, I know some of you might be rolling your eyes and saying, "Ela it was just a show."  UGH, I know it sounds silly, but for me it's played a small part of my life over the last six years.  I still can't believe it has all ended!  On to bigger and better things I suppose, but I will always remember some of the GREAT times I've had with LOST

A Few of My LOST facts:
Favorite Male Characters - Hurley & Desmond & Charlie & Jin
Favorite Female Characters - Toss up between Rose & Penny & Sun
Favorite Episode - The Constant w/ Desmond & I must say the Series Finale.
LOVED all of the nicknames Sawyer had for people!
Thought that Kate whined too much (not only as her character, but the actress too).
If I had to choose between Sawyer or Jack, Sawyer would win!
Saddest death scene for me was when Sun & Jin died.
Will always have a soft spot for the song, "You All Everybody!"

*Note each LOST link will lead you to a different LOST page, blog, item, etc.  Have fun!

It was so much fun having you guys over! It was good to watch again and then remember lines through out the whole series that lead you to the end. It ended perfectly.

Oh I just loved the show! So sad that it is over. I am waiting for ABC to come up with something to fill the void. We will have to wait and see what they come up with. At least I still have Grey's Anatomy :)
