We took three large onions and sliced them into rings.
Then we made our batter:
1 cup of milk
1 cup of flour
1 egg
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp of pepper
EASY!!
Then we coated each ring in the batter.
We then transferred the onions from the batter to the Panko Bread Crumbs. Lua double dipped a few rings, returning it back to the batter and then to the bread crumbs again for a thicker coat. I was fine with just the one.
We then fried them in canola oil until they were golden brown!
They were so good! We made homemade chicken nuggets to go with them. It was a lot of prep work and cooking time to do both the nuggets and the onion rings, but it was fun and good!
