Lovely People

We had a lovely weekend!
  • Grandma came home for a visit!  It's always so good to see her!
  • Treden turned three this weekend and had the coolest fireman party ever!!
  • We got to see most of our family at Tre's party which was the best part!
  • Daniel had a flag football game this Saturday.  He does such a good job!  Did I tell you guys that his team is called The Blue Cheese and that they call Daniel, THUNDER DAN?  LOL!  Love it!
  • Uncle Naki also had a football game.  USU lost, but Uncle Naki did a good job!!
  • Olivia and I threw the dopest bachelorette party EVER for our friend Allison who gets married next week!  There was a photo booth, tons of food and LOTS of dancing!!!
  • Daniel and I had a slightly lazy Sunday, which was nice.
This weekend was full of lovely people!  You know the kind of people that make you happy, who have a quiet confidence, who bring light to the party, who seem to just stand out!!!  Anyways, it was because of these people that Daniel and I had such a LOVELY weekend.  So thank you lovely people!

I am working on being one of those people, I've got a ways to go!

I'll work on that though after I clean my room!  Priorities people!

San Diego: Final Post

What more can I say other than we had a GREAT time.  I am so thankful for the time we had.  I'm glad I got to spend so much one-on-one time with my little mister!  I loved getting to see my mom in her element and I'm so happy for her.  Anyways, it was so much fun that we are going back for the Thanksgiving break!  :)

31 in California

I am so overwhelmed and thankful right now!  I had the most amazing trip with Daniel.  We drove down to San Diego, CA for some much needed R&R and to celebrate my birthday!  I can't believe I'm 31, I feel so OLD!!!  Thank you everyone who thought of me and wished me a Happy Birthday, I was truly touched. Also, thanks Daniel and Mom for making it such a special day for me.

My Mom took me out for a pedicure which was a luxury I have truly missed.  I can't remember the last time.  Then we took a stroll through the Vista Farmers Market, I LOVE farmer's markets.  For lunch, Daniel and my Mom took me to the Elephant Bar Restaurant for lunch; I love elephants and I loved this restaurant.

(She is ALWAYS on her phone!)

Then we spent the rest of the day at my Mom's pool.  I couldn't have asked for anything better.

I have a good feeling about this new birth year!  Hopefully this time next year, I will be celebrating graduation from school and a dream realized.

**More posts about San Diego to come.**

We're off!

We are off to California tomorrow morning.  We are so excited to get away and visit my Mom.  It's going to be a fun road trip (I hope) and we have some fun outings planned.  I'll try and blog from the road, but I'm not putting any To-Do's on my list this vacation.  Love you all!

We're Back

We got back today from Bear Lake!  What a GREAT trip!  We got to spend lots of fun time with our family, we got to spend a lot of time at Bear Lake and we got in a LOT of laughs.  This weekend was exactly what I needed and I am now ready to face a week of work and school finals.  I'll be sure to post more fun stories from Bear Lake soon, but until then here are a few pics from our adventure to Bear Lake.

Mom's Visit

Mom came home for a quick three day vacation.  It was SO GREAT to see her.  I really miss her and just being able to give her a hug meant the world to me.  While she was home we did our best to make sure she got a chance to see everyone.  We had a pool day at Fia's house, a Spencer Family reunion and a Father's Day dinner for Dad.  I just got home from dropping Mom off at the airport and as hard as I tried, I couldn't help but cry.  It'll be six weeks till we get to see her again, boo!  That seems like such a long time.  :(

Here are some fun pics from our weekend!

Tre showin' off his popsicle!

What a lazy bum!

(We have guessing jars at every Spencer family reunion and Daniel won this jar of sprinkles with a guess of 2,000!  There were 1,700 in the jar.)

Momma Dearest

(Packing up years of sewing projects that my Mom will now have time for.)

Well, Grandma has gone to start her own adventure.  The weekend was spent packing, going over last minute details and...I must admit, quite a bit of crying.  Before she left, we set her up with a blog, which she promises that she will keep updated: grandmaasisi.blogspot.com

(Mom, Lua and the surprisingly camera shy Ari.)

Mom,

I love you so much!  Thank you so much for your support and love over the last few years.  You have been my rock for so long and I thank you for that.
I'm so proud of you for going after your dreams.  You have been a huge inspiration to me and I hope for others who know you as well.  I look forward to seeing the growth that not only you make over the next five years, but the growth that Daniel and I will make now that we will have to lean on each other.
Best of luck tomorrow and show 'em what good stuff an Asisi is made of!  I'll see you on a Skype call soon. :)

Love,
Ela
